Call for Papers

Intergalva is the leading international forum for the exchange of information on the latest developments in general (batch) hot dip galvanizing of steel components and structures.

Intergalva 2012 includes a 3-day conference programme that will cover:

• Market and product development – including coating durability; new applications in renewable energy and other sectors; innovative coating technologies.
• Process technology – including plant design; kettle management/life; flux and degreasing technology; post-treatments; bath alloys.
• Environment and safety – including improvements in environmental performance; operational safety; material efficiency.
• Regulatory status – including regulatory issues affecting markets/applications; future evolution of environmental controls on processes.
• Sustainable Development – galvanizing’s contribution to meeting the goals of sustainable building and maintaining the value of infrastructure assets.

A special session will explore the use of galvanizing in architecture.

Conference sessions will take place on 11, 12 and 13 June 2012.

Papers are invited in any of the above themes.

Submission of Papers

Proposals for papers to be presented at Intergalva 2012 should be submitted by 30 November 2011. Submissions must include:

• Title of paper
• Author(s)
• Short Abstract (maximum 250 words)

Timeline

Proposals for papers will be reviewed by the Intergalva 2012 Papers Committee. Accepted papers will be notified by 15 December 2011.

By 1 May 2012, authors will be required to submit (i) the text of their paper for publication in the Edited Proceedings of the 23rd International Galvanizing Conference (Intergalva 2012) that will be published immediately following the Conference and (ii) the PowerPoint (or other format) file to be used to present the paper during the Conference sessions.
